Dre Nathalie Nissaire holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from McGill University. She continued her studies at
the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal. In 2011, she completed an internship in small
animal practice at the DMV Centre. Since then, she has worked in general practice and in the emergency
department.

Throughout her practice, she developed an interest in pain management. She offers a holistic and complementary
approach to traditional veterinary medicine. In 2012, she completed a certification in veterinary acupuncture
with I.V.A.S. In 2015, she pursued a certification in canine rehabilitation with the University of Tennessee.

Dr Julie Lecavalier obtained her doctorate in veterinary medicine with honours magna cum laude from St. George’s University in 2012 after completing her clinical year at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh in the UK.  She was inducted in the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honour Society in 2010.  She practiced as a small animal veterinarian in general practice in Montreal’s West Island for almost 6 years before starting a specialized internship in internal medicine at the Centre DMVet.  She completed her internal medicine residency at the Centre DMVet and was recognised as a Diplomat of the ACVIM (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine) in July 2022.  Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she completed a master’s degree in veterinary science after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in animal physiology from the University of Montreal.  Dr Lecavalier currently works as a specialist in internal medicine at the Centre DMVet in Lachine and in Blainville.
