How can my dog become a blood bank donor?
To donate blood, a dog must:
- weigh at least 55 lbs (25 kg)
- have received treatment for heartworm
- sleep indoors
- have been vaccinated annually
- be easy to handle
- be between 1 and 8 years old
How can my cat become a blood bank donor?
To donate blood, a cat must:
- weigh at least 10 lbs (5 kg)
- sleep indoors
- have been vaccinated annually
- be easy to handle
- be between 1 and 8 years old
