After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Animal Physiology from the University of Montreal, Dr. Isabelle Druet pursued her veterinary studies at the University of Liège in Belgium. She then worked as a general practitioner for dogs and cats in Paris for five years before specializing in veterinary dentistry under the guidance of Dr. Hennet (Dipl. AVDC, Dipl. EVDC) at Advetia.

As a European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) Diplomate, Dr. Druet led the Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the referral clinic Alliance in Bordeaux, France. For over a decade, she has dedicated herself exclusively to veterinary dentistry and maxillofacial surgery, sharing her expertise through numerous scientific publications and both theoretical and practical training sessions.

Dr. Druet also served as Vice President and President of GEROS within the AFVAC, playing a vital role in advancing her field and supporting her colleagues in managing complex cases.

Clinical Surgeon

Originally from France, Dr David Szwec began his veterinary journey at the National Veterinary School of Lyon. After obtaining his degree, he completed an internship at the National Veterinary School of Nantes (France). Seeking to further develop his surgical skills, Dr. Szwec moved to North America to undertake another internship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in Saint-Hyacinthe (Quebec).

Following this internship, Dr. Szwec joined CENTREDMVET as a surgical intern before becoming a resident with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Today, Dr. Szwec is a recognized expert in orthopedic, neurologic, and soft tissue surgery.

 

Publications :

Dr. David Szwec has authored several articles in North American and French scientific journals, notably on hepatic lobectomies in dogs.

Dr. Szwec continues to actively contribute to veterinary research and training, regularly speaking at conferences and specialized seminars.

Dr Chloé Job

Specialist Veterinary Surgeon

Originally from France, Dr. Chloé Job graduated from the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Maisons Alfort (France) in 2015. She then completed a specialized internship in surgery at the Alliance Veterinary Clinic in Bordeaux (France) from 2015 to 2016, before joining the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal to complete the Internship in Applied Veterinary Sciences (IPSAV) in small animals in 2017 (Quebec, Canada).

Dr. Job further specialized by completing a surgical internship at CENTREDMVET (2017-2018, Quebec, Canada), followed by a residency at the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) at the Alliance Veterinary Clinic in Bordeaux (France) in 2018. She became an ECVS board-certified specialist in veterinary surgery in February 2023, affirming her expertise in orthopedic, neurological, and soft tissue surgery.

During her residency, Dr. Job also served as a surgical trainer for the veterinary group QOVETIA in France and as an instructor in surgical pathology at the Animal Osteopathy School of Bordeaux (ISEMA, France). Since earning her board certification, she has held the position of surgical clinician at the Atlantia Veterinary Hospital (Nantes, France) and completed several locums as a veterinary surgeon at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Saint-Hyacinthe (Quebec, Canada) and the Alliance Veterinary Clinic in France.

Edouard Marchal

Dr Edouard Marchal

Neurologie

Dr. Edouard Marchal is originally from the east of France. He obtained his doctorate in veterinary medicine from École nationale vétérinaire d’Alfort in 2015. Curious to see what life in Quebec was like, he completed an advanced internship in applied veterinary sciences (IPSAV) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Université de Montréal in Saint-Hyacinthe in 2015–2016. This professional and personal experience convinced him to make Canada his home.

Between 2016 and 2019, Dr. Marchal completed a residency in companion animal neurology and neurosurgery at Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario. These studies led to his becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 2021. After completing his residency, he worked for four years at a multi-specialty centre in Toronto, where he developed his skills in neuroradiology and neurosurgery. 

Dr. Marchal joined the CENTREDMVET family upon his return to Quebec in November 2023. He currently practises medical neurology and neurosurgery (brain, spine, and neuromuscular) and wishes to focus on the management of epileptic patients using an electroencephalogram (EEG), as well as on the treatment of tumours and malformations of the nervous system requiring specialized neurosurgical expertise.

Dr. Marchal is available by appointment and for emergencies on Mondays at the CENTREDMVET in Montreal and from Tuesday to Thursday at the CENTREDMVET in St-Hubert.

(Français) Vanessa Facciolo, TSAc

Graduated animal health technician from Vanier College since 2021. Certification VTNE received in 2022. Worked as an aide tech for 2 years and officially as a technician for another 2 years in a small animal clinic in general practice.

January 2023: volunteer work as a veterinary technician in Nevis, Island in the Caribbean Sea in Nevis Animal Speak & Paws For A Cause Small Animal Clinic.

Julie Lecavalier

Dr Julie Lecavalier obtained her doctorate in veterinary medicine with honours magna cum laude from St. George’s University in 2012 after completing her clinical year at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh in the UK.  She was inducted in the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honour Society in 2010.  She practiced as a small animal veterinarian in general practice in Montreal’s West Island for almost 6 years before starting a specialized internship in internal medicine at the Centre DMVet.  She completed her internal medicine residency at the Centre DMVet and was recognised as a Diplomat of the ACVIM (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine) in July 2022.  Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she completed a master’s degree in veterinary science after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in animal physiology from the University of Montreal.  Dr Lecavalier currently works as a specialist in internal medicine at the Centre DMVet in Lachine and in Blainville.

Stéphane ROUSSEAU

DIRECTOR OF IT SERVICES Groupe DMV

Professional in the IT field for more than thirty (30) years, Stéphane is particularly distinguished by his expertise in the use of information technologies dedicated to the veterinary field. Stéphane is particularly familiar with the LogiVet software since he is at the origin of its development; he will therefore be able to use his knowledge of this application and the IT field to clearly identify the needs for improving the network, security, the recovery plan and digital telephony.
